Lucas Paqueta may leave West Ham in the January transfer window.
Much to the disappointment of supporters, Paqueta’s future at West Ham is once again in doubt.
Nuno Espirito Santo has a huge job on his hands in E20, with West Ham currently sitting 19th in the Premier League table.
Emotions at the London Stadium have been heightened for many years, and Paqueta’s potential departure won’t ease any discontent among the fans.

Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist critical of Lucas Paqueta
Since joining from Lyon in 2022, the 28-year-old has been a part of some unforgettable moments at West Ham.

He played a vital part in the 2023 Europa Conference League win, making 11 appearances and registering five goal contributions.
However, Paqueta was linked with a move to Aston Villa in the summer, and it looks like speculation won’t stop anytime soon.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 29 October, Alan Brazil was not pleased with the potential news that Paqueta could leave in January.
He said: “I think that he can be fabulous, but he’s moody. The fans want a bit of commitment from him.”
Ally McCoist added: “I think he can play, there’s no doubt about that. But would you want him in the trenches with you?”
With West Ham in such a precarious position at the moment, Paqueta jumping ship at a time when the club needs him most feels wrong.
If he were to leave at the end of the season, supporters would have less of an issue with the news.
Paqueta has been a great servant for West Ham, yet if he leaves while the East London club is in turmoil, this would hugely affect how fondly he would be remembered.
Should Paqueta move on in January, West Ham’s chances of survival would take a monumental blow.
West Ham relegation almost certain if Lucas Paqueta leaves in January
Paqueta has hinted that the reports weren’t true with a social media post, yet the worry of losing him is enough for West Ham supporters.
The Brazilian midfielder has been one of the new signings that Karren Brady and David Sullivan have manager to get right in recent years.
His quality on the ball has got West Ham over the line in several matches during his spell in E20, and he will be hugely missed if he does decide to leave.
Paqueta’s stunning strike against Chelsea is just a small example of his importance to the team, and West Ham will do very well to stay in the Premier League without him.
