Liverpool are keeping a close eye on Tottenham Hotspur star Micky van de Ven
Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Micky van de Ven has been linked with a move away from Hotspur Way off late. And given his latest antics against Everton, the clubs have started chasing his signature.
The 24-year-old Dutch defender signed for Tottenham from VfL Wolfsburg in 2023. And he has been a feature in the starting eleven at N17 since.
Given his rapid ability alongside physical attributes, he is a menace not only on the defensive side of things but also on the offensive side. We saw a glimpse of that at the weekend, where the Dutch sensation rose to two headers and ended the night with a brace, which helped the Lilywhites secure a historic win over Everton at their new stadium.

But his leap in form this season has caught the attention of other European elite clubs. And among them is Tottenham’s Premier League rival Liverpool, who are said to be looking at the 24-year-old and monitoring his progress closely, according to a recent report by Fichajes. The report also states how the North Londoners’ defender has been subject to interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
That being said, he would not come cheap, as the Lilywhites are said to have put up a €100m price tag on Micky van de Ven. We saw Thomas Frank recently speak highly of Van de Ven, who wore the skipper’s armband against the Toffees at the weekend.

Do you think Tottenham will sell Van de Ven?
Tottenham are building a project of their own under Thomas Frank. One that is defensively sound and structurally stable. And we have seen how this side has already taken strides on the positive side of things under the Dane head coach this season.
Frank is making a side capable of competing with (and even outdoing) the likes of Liverpool for silverware, and by the looks of it, Micky van de Ven is quite an integral part of his side.
So while these interests may make a lot of noise, especially given that it is from a Premier League rival, it is highly unlikely that the North Londoners would sanction such a sale even if a bid is presented with figures meeting that aforementioned asking price.
