Chelsea Could Raid Estevao's Former Club For Another Brazilian Gem Who Has £87M Release Clause

Chelsea are keeping an eye on Palmeiras winger Eduardo Conceicao, according to reports in the Italian media.

The 15-year-old, who goes by the nickname ‘Dudu’, is attracting the interest of several European clubs.

Despite not having made his first-team debut yet, it is believed the teenager has already been the subject of a €16m (£14m) bid.

The proposal was rejected by Palmeiras, but TMW claim that Dudu is still being “closely” watched by several teams, including the Blues, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

Palmeiras hold all the cards in negotiations

It is believed that the youngster has a €100m (£87m) release clause in his contract, so his club have protected themselves from others who could try to sign one of their brightest talents for a low price.

The fact that Dudu hasn’t even turned 16 yet means that Palmeiras will be keeping hold of him for the next two to three years anyway.

European teams, including Chelsea, are not able to officially sign any Brazilian player below the age of 18. That is why the Blues had to wait well over a year to get Estevao, having initially agreed a deal for the forward in the summer of 2024.

What do Chelsea fans need to know about Dudu?

Not much is known about the winger, other than he does have similar traits to Estevao, albeit he is predominantly right-footed who prefers the left-hand side.

Dudu possesses speed and excellent dribbling ability, while he does have an eye for goal. He scored 6 times in 15 appearances for Palmeiras’ Under 15s in 2024, and 13 goals in 37 appearances for the Under 17s this year.

The teenager has also recently been called up by Brazil’s Under-17s for the first time, so it is very likely that Chelsea will be sending scouts to see him play for his country over the coming weeks.
