A recent training clip proves just how outrageously gifted Chelsea winger is.
Chelsea winger has skills and confidence beyond his years
At Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, Estevao Willian once more amazed everyone. He proved to everybody why the club went to great lengths to get him during this summer. The lad, who is still only 18, showed a moment of pure magic at what seemed to be the end of a training session.
With no goalkeeper anywhere close to the goal, Estevao hit the ball from way beyond the boundary line of the pitch, making it curve with such accuracy that it eventually dipped right into the net. The video went viral on the web. Besides the boy’s artistic talents, he showcased great skill and confidence of a young person.
Pushing for a bigger role
Estevao had already got a spot on the bench for the last match against Sunderland. He is very fast turning into one of head coach Enzo Maresca’s picks. His behavior during training is that of a player who desires to have not just the whole time but a little more, and he is highly motivated by the fact that the Carabao Cup confrontation with Wolves is nearly here.
The Blues’ head coach, in his media briefing, gave an update on forward Liam Delap. But, it is Estevao who has in fact won over the fans’ fantasy in anticipation of the Wednesday match. He is eager to show his dazzling touches and confident strikes at the West London club. This adds to the sense that Chelsea may be watching the birth of their next attacking star.
Author’s opinion:
Estevao’s top effort at Cobham felt less like luck and more of his skills. For Chelsea fans, moments like these prove the future in West London looks as exciting as ever.
