Celtics star Jaylen Brown blames ‘10 years of stress’ in Boston for balding

There is a lot of talk about the Celtics through the first four games of the 2025-26 season. But one storyline that has garnered a slew of attention has nothing to do with Boston’s play.

It’s Jaylen Brown’s hair.

The All-Star guard showed up to training camp with shorter hair, and fans noticed it appeared to leave marks on opponents’ jerseys. The potential fake hairline drew a lot of social media attention, so Brown decided to cut his hair on Twitch.

“I blame Boston. Ten years of stress, the media, the championships. Y’all caused this,” Brown said on the stream as he was getting his haircut.

Brown then made a call to Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, who is widely believed to have received a hair transplant.

“Code Red. They caught me slippin‘,” Brown said on the voicemail left to James. “I need to know, Turkey or no Turkey? And I ain’t talking no cheese sandwich.”

Turkey is known as a go-to country for hair transplants.

Brown will sport his new look when the Celtics host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.
