Kelvin Beachum, Curtis Granderson competing to raise money for United Food Bank

Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle Kelvin Beachum is teaming up with former MLB star Curtis Granderson in a competition to raise funds for the United Food Bank in Phoenix and Chicago, respectively, through the end of November.

The 14-year NFL veteran kicked off the campaign in Phoenix by making a surprise appearance at the Raising Canes on 7th Street and Bethany Home Road on Tuesday evening. Raising Canes has designated four more dates at specific locations across the Valley where 15% of net sales will go toward United Food Bank in support of Beachum.

“One in seven Arizonans face food insecurity and that includes nearly 300,000 children,” Beachum said in a release. “With the help of Raising Canes, their customers and the United Food Bank, we can provide meals for our neighbors in need. I know firsthand what this food means to families who are just making ends meet. Hunger never takes a day off.”
