There's been a lot of chatter this week surrounding Cleveland Browns superstar Myles Garrett, who has been visibly and vocally frustrated with the team and their anemic offense.
Garrett broke his own franchise sack record last Sunday, sacking New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye five times, but it didn't end up mattering in a 32-13 loss.
Some have speculated whether the Browns could trade their superstar pass rusher ahead of the coming trade deadline, but ESPN's Adam Schefter put out a definitive answer on X.
Myles Garrett will not be traded per Adam Schefter
"For those wondering if the Browns would consider trading Myles Garrett by Tuesday’s deadline, the answer is, in the words of one source, 'No chance,'" Schefter posted to his X account.
"Source added: 'People have a better chance of winning the lottery.'"
Evidently, Garrett isn't going anywhere.
The Browns had a chance to trade their No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 draft this past offseason, when Garrett requested a trade out of Cleveland.
Instead, they made him the highest-paid non-quarterback at the time, and the rest is history.
Some could argue the Browns would've been better off trading the 29-year-old, as by the time this team gets turned around, he may be at the end or near the end of his prime.
It may be a topic worth reconsidering this offseason, if the Browns feel they need more draft capital to build around a potential rookie quarterback selected in next April's draft.
