During the NFL offseason, defensive end Myles Garrett requested a trade from the Cleveland Browns. Instead of being traded, Garrett signed a contract extension with the Browns.

Cleveland is 2-6 this season and they have a chance to be major sellers at the NFL trade deadline this year. Once again, Garrett’s name is being mentioned around in trade rumors. Is there any chance that he could be on the move at the NFL trade deadline or not?

Adam Schefter of espn.com reported on his Twitter account on Wednesday about if Garrett is going to be traded from the Browns before the NFL trade deadline or not. Schefter reported,
“For those wondering if the Browns would consider trading Myles Garrett by Tuesday’s deadline, the answer is, in the words of one source, “No chance.” Source added: “People have a better chance of winning the lottery.””
In eight games with the Browns this season, he has recorded 31 tackles, 10 sacks, and one forced fumble. Garrett has a solid chance to win the defensive player of the year award once again this season despite the Browns bring a bad football team once again this season. He probably has no plans to leave Cleveland anytime soon. It would be a shock at this point if he was traded.
Garrett will be under contract for another five years with Cleveland after the 2025 NFL season. He is 29 years old at the moment. There is no chance that this franchise would trade him. He is the best defensive player in the league.
