Rashan Gary Is On Pace For Career Season

The Green Bay Packers acquired one of the best pass rushers in the NFL this offseason.

Adding Micah Parsons gave defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley a versatile weapon to deploy at defensive end or linebacker.

Notably, Parsons’ impact goes beyond his own numbers, and he has made life easier for the linemen around him.

That’s especially the case for Rashan Gary, who is on his way to having a career year.

Gary has 7.5 sacks in seven games, which is as many as he had in 17 games last year.

Of course, that’s not entirely because of his new teammate, as he deserves a lot of credit for the hard work he’s put in this season.

It’s also a testament to Hafley and the outstanding job he’s done in charge of that unit.

Whatever the reason, the Packers now have one of the best pass-rushing duos in the game, and that should spell trouble for the rest of the league.

Parsons draws double teams, giving Gary a better path to the opposing quarterback, and he’s not the type of player who’s going to squander those opportunities.

For years, the Packers’ defense was behind their offense.

Now, it seems like they have the balance it takes to make it back to the Super Bowl and add another championship.
