The Packers‘ wide receiving corps is getting healthy, which could present an opportunity for general manager Brian Gutekunst to pull off a trade leveraging Green Bay’s depth at the position to add draft capital to keep building out elsewhere.
Tucker Kraft’s emergence and the return of Christian Watson might not just have a transformative impact on the Packers’ offense this season, but could shape the way Gutekunst and the front office approaches the looming November 4 NFL trade deadline.

Romeo Doubs is Green Bay’s second-leading receiver, so far this season, but Kraft’s role and Watson’s return with Jayden Reed not far behind him could make Doubs expendable.
According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Doubs is a player to watch who could be moved by Gutekunst at the deadline.
“If a team is looking for receiver help,” Demovsky writes. “Perhaps the Packers would consider moving Romeo Doubs, who is in the final year of his contract, but he has been a big part of their offense.”
What seemed inconceivable a month ago, may be more realistic for the Packers, given Kraft’s breakout season, Watson’s effectiveness in his return, Matthew Golden’s emergence, and Reed’s impending return, that Doubs could be on the move.
So far this season, Doubs has caught 27 passes for 350 yards and four touchdowns, but if the targets are about to be divvied up, the veteran receiver could prove more valuable as a trade comodity to continue building out the roster than as a weapon at a crowded position group in 2025.
