Jordan Love Notches Notable NFL Award After Big Week 8

For years, Green Bay Packers fans seemed to be on the fence about Jordan Love.

The quarterback waited patiently for his turn, and while he wasn’t always sharp taking over from Aaron Rodgers, he looks closer to a finished product now.

He is playing the best football of his career, and he was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after a victory against Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Love completed 78.4 percent of his passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions in a comeback win on the road.

All of the pregame talk was centered around Rodgers and his alleged desire to get back at his former team.

While the veteran had another strong game, Love outplayed him.

Through eight weeks, Love should be considered a strong MVP candidate.

He’s making the most of the plethora of weapons the Packers have put around him, and even though head coach Matt LaFleur’s playcalling has been too conservative at times, Love has made some big plays with his strong arm.

The Packers haven’t looked as dominant in a couple of games this season, but when they’re locked in, it’s hard to think of a better team in the league, and a lot of that has to do with their emerging quarterback.

Green Bay will look to build on this momentum in Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers.
