Jordan Love just issued a Mahomes-level warning Packers fans already saw coming

Jordan Love's dominant performance in primetime just got even more impressive. Throwing for over 350 yards, Love recorded his second-highest completion percentage (78.4) since taking the reins in Green Bay.

He connected with 10 different pass-catchers, and even went on a 20-straight completion streak, which hadn't been accomplished by a Packers quarterback since Brett Favre in 2007. However, this wasn't the only achievement Love logged against the Steelers.

In one category, his Sunday night performance placed him behind just one player: Patrick Mahomes.

Jordan Love hits a rare milestone only Patrick Mahomes has achieved

Sunday's matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers was Jordan Love's 40th start as a Packer, and his phenomenal showing marked the 16th time he had thrown multiple passing touchdowns and zero interceptions. The only player to record more such starts has been Patrick Mahomes, with 19 in his first 40 games as the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the first eight weeks of this season, Love has recorded four games that match this criteria, rocketing him to second place on the 40-start leaderboard.

In that time, he's only thrown two interceptions, a career low for him at this point in the season. It's a great sign of things to come, especially with the emergence of Tucker Kraft and the return of Christian Watson, two pass-catchers who Love can rely on to make big plays downfield.

The completion that sealed the deal came during the third quarter on a screen pass to Savion Williams, who celebrated his first touchdown as a Packer. But Love didn't stop there, completing a 24-yard touchdown pass to Tucker Kraft early in the fourth quarter.

Packers fans already knew how well he was playing, but Love's national showcase was a wake-up call for the rest of the league, who had seemed to turn their backs on the team following a few rough weeks after a 2-0 start. After an explosive outing on Sunday Night Football, the Packers seem to be firing on all cylinders, and all eyes will be on them in the coming weeks.
