EDDIE Howe has made eight changes to his [Newcastle United](http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle?ref=au) side for tonight's Carabao Cup fourth round tie against Tottenham.

Malick Thiaw, Dan Burn and Nick Woltemade are the only three players to keep their place in the side.

Aaron Ramsdale starts in goal, with Emil Krafth and Fabian Schar coming into the defence.

Sandro Tonali returns to the starting XI and is joined by Joe Willock and Jacob Ramsey.

And Woltemade will be supported by Anthony Elanga and Harvey Barnes, who replace Jacob Murphy and Anthony Gordon.

Sven Botman is fit enough for a place on the bench after suffering a cut that forced him off against Fulham on Saturday.

Nick Pope, Kieran Trippier, Joelinton, Gordon, Murphy, Bruno Guimaraes and Lewis Miley are all substitutes, as is Will Osula.

Osula impressed from the bench against Fulham but Howe revealed afterwards the striker is nursing an ankle injury.
