The injury problems at La Liga champions Barcelona have on Wednesday evening continued to mount.
This comes amid nothing short of an alarming update on the wellbeing of Blaugrana midfielder Pedri.
Barcelona of course announced earlier today that Pedri has been condemned to an incoming spell on the sidelines through injury:

Initially, reports pointed towards the 22-year-old being in line for a stretch of around three weeks on the treatment table.
As alluded to above, however, the latest update on the situation is of an altogether more concerning nature.
As per a report from Blaugrana insider Javier Miguel, considered highly reliable when it comes to news in Catalunyaโs capital, Pedri is in fact set to be out of action for six to seven weeks.
As much would mean the former Las Palmas talent sitting out a minimum of eight fixtures, including crunch meetings with the likes of Chelsea and Atlรฉtico Madrid.
Pedri: muy malas noticias. El tiempo de baja sera de 6 a 7 semanas. Se pierde ocho partidos minimo, entre ellos Chelsea y Atletico. Mas informacion en @diarioas
