The Charlotte Hornets are off to a very hot start to the 2025-26 NBA season. In just four games, the team has been one of the most explosive offensive teams in the league.
Charlotte is never a team that is going to grab headlines. The franchise is the perfect definition of a small market, but no one can deny their impact on the game.

By impact, I mean the hold the team’s colors have had on generations. The purple and teal have had a grip on every child’s heart at least once in their life. I’m one of those kids.

However, those who don’t believe there is a better color combination in all of sports will be disheartened to see the current news surrounding the Hornets.

The Hornets Reddit page on X shared a photo of what could potentially be the team’s City Edition jerseys this season. Let me tell you, it’s not for the faint of heart.

Please tell me this isn’t true? The page shared that the leak may have come from an NBA 2K modder. No one wants to see the Hornets playing in SunnyD uniforms.
If you have followed the Hornets since their return in 2014, you can easily see how the franchise has fumbled this. No one wants these uniforms, yet it appears we’re going to get them.
The only way I’m going to accept this is if the team comes out to “Steal My Sunshine” by Len. Seriously, this is a disgrace, and answers need to be found if this ends up being true.

What will the court look like? The Hornets logo on the side of the shorts looks absolutely dreadful on these uniforms. Maybe it is time to trade LaMelo Ball and fold the franchise.
