With just one win in nine Premier League games and two managers already in the dugout, Nuno Espírito Santo has inherited a squad struggling for confidence and cohesion.
January can’t come soon enough for the Hammers — a chance to reset, rebuild, and bring in much-needed reinforcements.
But while arrivals are expected, departures could also be on the cards.
Star midfielder Lucas Paquetá is reportedly pushing for an exit — and now another key figure could be heading for the door.

According to a new report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Tottenham Hotspur have made an audacious £60 million offer to sign Jarrod Bowen from West Ham ahead of the January transfer window.
Despite sitting near the top of the table, Spurs boss Thomas Frank is said to be seeking more attacking depth and sees Bowen as an ideal fit for his high-energy system.
The 27-year-old has been one of the few bright spots in a dismal season for the Hammers, scoring three goals and continuing to lead by example despite the team’s struggles.
Fichajes claims that Tottenham are “offering £60 million” for the forward, who was once described as “mind-blowing” by former Premier League defender Micah Richards. The report adds that Bowen “may be considering leaving the London project” amid West Ham’s ongoing decline.
A January deal would be difficult to pull off — particularly given Bowen’s importance to the side — but with the club in crisis and funds needed to back Nuno in the market, a big-money bid could test West Ham’s resolve.
