Unfortunately, the caps look like something a student in Head Start crafted. They are big enough to see from space, and look a lot worse on a bright yellow helmet like the Green Bay Packers.

This week, the Packers are throwing it back to the leather helmet look. A look that looks absolutely terrible on a modern helmet, but to each their own.

As soon as it was revealed that the Packers would be wearing these helmets, social media had to wonder what wide receiver Romeo Doubs would look like in his “leather” Guardian Cap.

It’s just the eyesore you imagined, and social media is getting the jokes in quicker than I can display them.

The Roasting Begins
Everything from the house of Patrick Star to looking like a basket has been used to describe the leather Guardian Cap worn by Doubs. Honestly, I’m starting to agree with the basket opinion. I came from a Longerberger family, and there’s a good chance a basket just like that helmet once sat on my childhood dinner table.
If Doubs cared about what it looked like, there’s a good chance it would never have been worn. However, it’s clear that he feels better wearing the cap, and that’s all that matters.

Still, the jokes are writing themselves. If I’m Doubs, I’m trying to secure a sponsorship with one of those big hat companies before the Packers game this week.
Imagine him rolling up to the cap in a big cap before putting on a big cap. Doubs, let me be your business manager. There are plenty of things we can do with this.
