Milwaukee Bucks: Giannis Antetokounmpo pops up on injury report ahead of Golden State Warriors…

The Milwaukee Bucks are 3-1 to start the season following their 121-111 victory over the New York Knicks on Tuesday night. Ryan Rollins, starting again in place of the injured Kevin Porter Jr., had the best game of his career, pouring in 25 points on 8-11 shooting (4-4 from three and 5-5 from the line) while also recording two rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

As good as Rollins was, though, it was Giannis Antetokounmpo, as always, who led the team to victory against New York, who many believe will be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference this season. The Greek Freak posted 37 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and two blocks in the winning effort.

But as the Bucks look ahead to their showdown with the high-profile Golden State Warriors on Thursday, Giannis suddenly has popped up on Milwaukee’s injury report.

Fortunately, the Bucks have been able to stay relatively healthy so far in the early days of the 2025-26 NBA season. Porter is still recovering from a high ankle sprain, but everyone else on the team has gotten through the first four games unscathed.

On Wednesday, though, Milwaukee released its first injury report for Thursday’s matchup against the Warriors, and Giannis was listed on it:

Injury Report – Oct. 30 vs. Golden State

Out:

Kevin Porter Jr. (Left Ankle Sprain)

Probable:

Giannis Antetokounmpo (Left Knee Soreness)

As one can see, the two-time NBA MVP is listed as probable with left knee soreness. The good news, of course, is that the nine-time All-Star is more than likely to play. His early addition to the injury report, though, is a reminder that the Bucks are going to be keeping a close eye on their superstar’s health all season long, and it will not be surprising if he gets a night off here and there.

Porter, who injured his ankle on opening night, will miss his fourth consecutive game. It is likely that Rollins will start for him once again.
