Newcastle United beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at St James' Park in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
Tottenham were undefeated away from home all season, coming into this game, but that record came to an abrupt end thanks to goals from Fabian Schar and Nick Woltemade.
Fabian Schar nodded the Magpies into the lead in the first half in controversial circumstances ... if Sky Sports are to be believed.
Spurs defender Djed Spence spent an age trying to tie his boots up as Newcastle were setting up the corner, and jogged into position with no urgency as Newcastle took full advantage with Sandro Tonali swinging in the corner for Schar to head home.

Big Nick is back amongst the goals
Sky Sports really wanted to find a way to make Newcastle's first goal not stand
Sky Sports spent the entirety of half-time crying about Newcastle not waiting for Spence to get into position as if any other team wouldn't have done exactly the same. Suck it up, buttercup.
Newcastle continued to dominate and pressed home their advantage in the second half via the head of Nick Woltemade, who got back amongst the goals for the Magpies.
It was an easy game overall for Newcastle, but that's not to say Spurs didn't have their chances, and Newcastle have Aaron Ramsdale to thank for that after the on-loan keeper made a couple of superb saves to keep Spurs at bay.

Three wins in three competitions in the last week(ish) for Newcastle
Newcastle go into the draw for the quarter finals along with Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Manchester City, who all won tonight, joining Brentford, Fulham and Cardiff, who booked their places last night.
Last year's finalists, Liverpool went crashing out thanks to a 3-0 demolition by Crystal Palace tonight, so that's one fewer trophy that Alexander Isak can win. How's that move looking, lad?
That's three wins in a row for Newcastle in three different competitions. Up next is West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday, and confidence is high going into that one.
