Crystal Palace got one over Liverpool once again as they beat the Anfield outfit 3-0 in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
This is now the third time this season that the Eagles have got the better of Arne Slot’s men, with the Reds’ performances getting no better.
Indeed, a lot of the blame can be placed upon the shoulders of the Dutchman due to his team selection, but, in reality, Liverpool should be performing much better.

However, now that Palace have beaten the Merseyside outfit three times this season, it’s hard to deny that they’re the better of the two teams at the moment, with the Eagles’ fans making their thoughts on Slot more than clear.
Crystal Palace fans chant that Arne Slot will be getting “sacked in the morning” by Liverpool
Liverpool have now lost six out of their last seven games across all competitions.
Although Liverpool’s performance against Eintracht Frankfurt may have given them a glimmer of hope that things were going to turn around, that’s been far from the case.
Slot’s job won’t be under any intense pressure at the moment, but if he doesn’t figure out how to get Liverpool back to winning ways soon, his time with the Anfield outfit could come to a premature end.
These are certainly the thoughts of Palace’s fans who, according to Sky Sports journalist Peter Smith, were chanting that Slot was going to get “sacked in the morning” by Liverpool.

“The Palace fans are singing ‘sacked in the morning’ at Arne Slot,” he wrote.
“It’s not quite that bad, but a sixth loss in seven games is very much on the cards now.
“And critics of Slot’s line-up selection for this game will be thinking ‘I told you so’.”
Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk need to rally their troops and figure out how to improve Liverpool
No matter what Slot tries to do, nothing seems to be working.
Even if the former Feyenoord boss lines Liverpool up in a new formation, with the Reds’ confidence as low as it is, it’s unclear whether they’ll even be able to put in a decent performance any time soon.
Most of Liverpool’s team have performed well below their usual standards, but it’s times like these when senior players need to get into action and set things straight.

Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are likely to be the two players most of the Reds’ first-team squad will look towards for guidance, and, if they don’t receive this, there’s no knowing how bad things could end up getting.
The aforementioned duo getting back to their best would no doubt help matters, but unless the rest of Liverpool’s team also get in line, it could genuinely end up being the end of the line for Slot in the near future.
