A look at the early injury news surrounding West Ham and Newcastle United as they prepare to face off in the Premier League.

The atmosphere among the fans is not pleasant currently, with the supporters unhappy with owner David Sullivan, and the form on the pitch certainly isn’t helping. As for Newcastle, they are in 12th place after a below-par start, and they beat Fulham in their last Premier League outing. Here we round up the early injury news surrounding both teams ahead of Sunday.

Tino Livramento - Out

Livramento will be out until late November. Howe has said: “Tino is out of the brace, and every time I speak to him, he seems positive about his return. There are no massive changes in the timescale he was given, but he is going about his recovery well.”

Lewis Hall - Out

Hall will be out for another week or so. Howe said recently: “His second scan was good news. We think he will be back during this period of games before the next Int' break. We don't know exactly when that will be, but we expect him to, if he doesn't suffer any ill effects from anything he is doing. So, good news!” This one will come just too soon for Hall barring any surprises.

Yoane Wissa - Doubt

Howe said before last weekend: “He will need almost a pre-season, and the schedule is six weeks. I'm not saying he won't play for six weeks, but to get to his very best level, it will probably take that time. He has been to see a specialist, that was a routine appointment. He is on track, he is doing well, and now we can push him a little bit harder.” Wissa has a chance of returning in some capacity here.

Harrison Ashby - Out

Ashby remains out, with Howe saying recently: “Unfortunately, at the moment Harrison is injured, and he has been injured for a period of time with a thigh injury, so we are waiting for him to be fit again.” Ashby has a hamstring issue.

George Earthy - Out

Santo confirmed recently: “I think George will be four to six weeks [following a hamstring injury for the U21s].”

Niclas Fullkrug - Doubt

Fullkrug has had a hamstring injury that has kept him out since mid-October. He could return this weekend.

Konstantinos Mavropanos - Out

Mavropanos now looks set to miss at least six weeks with a hamstring tear. Santo said: “Dinos is injured. He came off, and he now has a scan to see the real injury that he has. I cannot answer exactly how long he's going to be out. For sure, this game is not an option for us, unfortunately.” Since then, it has been confirmed that he has a tear, and that means 6-8 weeks out.

Scarles is out with a dislocated shoulder, and there is no clear date for his return.
