Ruben Amorim and Manchester United have arguably never had it so good.
Amorim has overseen three successive victories which have propelled the Reds into the top-six and European contention.
United visit Nottingham Forest this weekend, before then travelling to Tottenham in the final game before the November international break. Those two fixtures offer a further chance for United to show they have turned a corner and Amorim will be hoping next month's top-flight pause is more relaxing than the October break when speculation was rife over his future.
The 40-year-old oversaw a dismal domestic campaign last season while their bid for glory in the Europa League was ended by Spurs in the final, meaning United missed out on European football.
This season, they suffered a poor start with the nadir coming in an embarrassing Carabao Cup exit at the hands of League Two outfit Grimsby Town. But there have been signs of improvement in recent weeks and Amorim knows the next 12 months will be crucial as he approaches a year in charge at Old Trafford.
His arrival last November was seen as a significant coup such was his body of work in Portugal at Sporting Lisbon and while United have yet to hit the heights they hoped to when appointing Amorim, the Reds chief said when he arrived that patience would be needed - citing the two-year mark as an accurate position to judge his impact.
"I think, in two years, you guys can understand if I am the right man in this process," he said in his first United press conference.
"We will need more time because, if you look to the other clubs that are winning this league, they are doing this process for a long time but they are winning so they have time to do this project.
"I understand we will need more than two-and-a-half years, we have to win something, somewhere, but, in two years, you can understand if you want to continue on this path or change. So we will see how long it will take."
