What Enzo Maresca has told Juventus after approach over summer move - journalist

Juventus are thought to be close to appointing Luciano Spalletti as their new manager, but that does not mean their interest in Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has gone away.

The Old Lady sacked Igor Tudor earlier this week, but even before his dismissal there were rumours about Maresca returning to Turin.

Maresca spent four years at Juventus as a player and appears to have admirers there for what he has achieved as a coach.

Last season, the 45-year-old guided Chelsea to both the Club World Cup and Conference League trophies.

Enzo Maresca not thinking about leaving Chelsea

Maresca may be appreciated at the Allianz Stadium, but it does not look like he has any plans to leave Stamford Bridge for the time being.

Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that while Juventus have approached Maresca’s people about a summer move, the Italian’s message is that he is not thinking about making a change.

That is not a surprise, as things are working out for him in west London right now. There have been some ups and downs this season, but again, he won two trophies last term and secured Champions League qualification for the club.

However, with Spalletti’s initial deal only set to run until the end of the campaign, this could become a topic again, especially if Chelsea go on to have a disappointing season.
