Bowen to Spurs is ‘impossible’ even if West Ham get relegated

By Conor Hogan

**Once again, Jarrod Bowen has been linked with a move away from West Ham – with Tottenham now interested in the England winger.**

As reported by Football365 last night, the North London side are allegedly offering £60 million for the Irons skipper, who has three goals and an assist in nine league games this season.

Given the Hammers’ dreadful start to the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, threats of relegation have Irons fans concerned that Bowen could leave in the summer if West Ham face the drop.

While some fans have reluctantly conceded that Bowen deserves to be playing at the highest level, the thought of seeing him in a Spurs shirt would be nothing short of a nightmare for every Irons supporter.

Former Hammer Mohammed Kudus moved north of the capital this summer, and his presence at London Stadium back in September was not appreciated.

Though Bowen’s status as a modern West Ham great would cause a more muted reaction, it would be the most bitter pill to swallow for the Irons if the Hereford native signed for their North London rivals. However, given his connections to the Dyer family, a move to Thomas Frank’s side is thankfully near impossible.

A move for Bowen to any team in January is definitely impossible, let alone to our second biggest rivals. A move in the summer would be slightly more likely, especially if we end up getting relegated but again, Jarrod Bowen loves West Ham and West Ham love him, he wouldn’t even give a move to Tottenham a moments thought, even if it meant he had to stay with West Ham in the Championship, or at least we’d hope not anyway.

During West Ham’s extended rut this season, some Irons fans online have jokingly suggested that Bowen should jeopardise his marriage to Dani Dyer by getting the big move that his performances deserve.

The Hammers’ poster boy since at least 2023, Bowen’s ties to the club are so strong that there is seemingly no way under any circumstance that he would agree to a Spurs move – but the fact that it is even a possibility displays the troubled times the Hammers find themselves in.
