Bus: Buses are far cheaper (1.5 AZN) but can take approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
Ticket collection point
Ticket collection points have become an integral part of the club’s operation for European away fixtures to ensure compliance and reduce ticket misuse. This is an important feature of the club’s work to enhance ticket security.
Given the logistical challenges of attending this fixture for supporters, not all ticket holders will need to collect their ticket from a collection point in Baku. To accommodate supporters as far as possible, a reduced number of ticket holders - selected at random - will be required to attend the collection point.
You are one of the supporters selected who must visit the ticket collection point to obtain your ticket.
We ask supporters not to share the location of the ticket collection point with anyone other than fellow away section ticket holders.

Route to the stadium
Stadium address:
Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium
10 Fatali Khan Khoyski, Baku, Azerbaijan
The stadium is located north of the city centre and the ticket collection point.
Taxi: The simplest way to reach the stadium from the city centre is to take a taxi. Local taxis may try to overcharge so it is worth using either:
Metro: It is possible to travel to the stadium via the metro system, however, this journey will likely take longer than a taxi trip. Also, it should be noted that the police carry out searches at the entry points to metro stations and may also ask for proof of ID. This will naturally lengthen any planned journey time.
The nearest metro station to the ticket collection point is 28 May. The nearest station to the town centre is Sahil.
These are both on the Red Line which takes you directly to the station nearest to the stadium which is Ganjilik.
Please note that the station is to the north of the stadium whereas the away turnstiles are at the south side. There is a significant walk around the perimeter to make that journey.
Chelsea supporters should approach the stadium from the south (as shown on the image below) in order to access the away fan turnstiles.
Entering the stadium
Passport checks will be carried out at the turnstiles.
Due to the number of checks that are carried out, the time taken to enter stadiums is generally increasing so we recommend that supporters make their way to the stadium in good time. Late arrivals will inevitably be required to queue and there is no guarantee that they will see the start of the match.
There are two checkpoints:
Checkpoint 1: Perimeter Gate
Visual ticket check
Passport check
Body search
Once inside this perimeter gate, fans will walk towards the stadium and the turnstile at Sektor 28.
Disabled supporters will be asked to access through a gate to the left and will re-unite with other Chelsea supporters in the away seating area.
Checkpoint 2: Turnstile
Electronic ticket scan
Away supporter seating
Chelsea supporters will be located in a single tier in the south-east segment of the stadium at Sektor 28.

Chelsea is a club that actively celebrates our diversity. As supporters, we ask that you share our vision of a club and a game free from discrimination that is open to all.
While the players and staff appreciate passionate and vocal support at our matches, there have been instances where supporters have used unacceptable, offensive and discriminatory language. This will not be tolerated. Please be respectful to our hosts and the local community by not using language or actions which may inflame local and current regional sensitivities. This includes any sectarian chanting, slogans or banners.
Racism, homophobia, sexism, antisemitism, sectarianism or any language or actions viewed as discriminatory will result in the strongest possible actions which may include banning, arrest and prosecution.
This includes on public transport and in other public venues before and after the game.

Matchday information WhatsApp channel
The Chelsea FC Matchday Information WhatsApp channel is a source of info specifically targeted towards fans who attend matches. The content on this one-way channel is to enhance the match-going experience, focusing on useful updates on areas away from team matters, whether they be to aid your journey or time at the stadium, about ticketing, or to let you know about off-pitch activities.
Cultural awareness
Azerbaijan is culturally conservative. Please be aware of your behaviour particularly around socially and historically important monuments and locations. Some areas, such as Martyrs’ Alley, are especially sensitive. Disruptive or disrespectful conduct in or around such areas may result in police action, including fines or being summoned to the police station.
Safety
As in any other city, beware of pickpockets and bag snatchers at airports, railway stations, around the city centre and when using public transport.
Be alert to possible bag-snatching or mugging, particularly if you are carrying large amounts of cash or valuables.
The risk is higher after dark in the centre of the city.
Avoid displaying large sums of money or expensive-looking valuables and avoid walking alone at night.
Travel within Azerbaijan
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office recommends travellers avoid some areas of Azerbaijan, notably the border region with Armenia.
