Aston Villa midfielder Emi Buendia has highlighted the ‘key factors’ which have helped them to turn around their poor start to season.

They discuss various topics, including Aston Villa’s impressive turnaround this season.
Unai Emery’s side started the season in awful form, with two draws and two defeats in four games and no goals either. Pressure was mounting, particularly when they found themselves in the relegation zone.
They’ve managed to change things around abruptly in October, though. They’ve now won four of their last six in the Premier League, winning four on the bounce, and picking up 14 points in total. That’s put them second in the Premier League form table.
It’s been an impress turnaround, pushing them up to eighth in the table and two points outside the top four. They appear to be back on course after a difficult start and a tough summer transfer window.
Buendia has been a key player in the turnaround. And he thinks one of the keys to it was the group sticking to the plan laid out.
“Well, I think the start wasn’t what we wanted, obviously, but I think the team kept working hard, in the best way possible, to get the results,” he said.
“We always showed, or tried to show, that we have a clear idea of how to play, that the team’s philosophy, and what the coach tells us, is always to try to play the ball, to be strong defensively, to be a solid unit.
“And well, we kept trusting and playing our best. And the results came. We hope to continue with this confidence and showing that we are a strong team that aspires to great things.
“I think one of the key factors is that the group stayed united. We kept working, the coach, the whole coaching staff stayed focused on the same idea. We had to keep going down the same path and things would come. We’ve had to keep working in the best way possible.”
