Reggie Miller Sends Message To Bucks About Myles Turner

It goes without saying that a lot is on the line for the Milwaukee Bucks this season, which is why they worked hard to improve their roster in the summer.

One of their biggest moves in the offseason was the acquisition of Myles Turner, who moved from the Indiana Pacers just weeks after competing in the Finals.

On Tuesday night, Pacers legend Reggie Miller talked about Turner and said how lucky the Bucks are to have him.

“Milwaukee, you guys got a good one,” Miller said of Turner. “He understands the game of basketball. He understands how to win. I’m surprised the Pacers didn’t give him what he wanted. Right now, the Pacers are in flux. The Bucks, they could be in the mix here for a top-six, top-five seed in the Eastern Conference. It was a smart move on his part, and he gets to play with one of the best players in the game.”

Miller is right because the Bucks were smart to sign Turner in the summer.

He allegedly wanted to remain with the Pacers, but they weren’t willing to give him the sort of contract extension he desired.

So he was open to moving on, and the Bucks were right there, ready to offer him a juicy deal and a big role on the team.

They wanted Turner and his talents, but they also craved someone who would help Giannis Antetokounmpo and give him a better chance of making it all the way to the Finals and claiming another championship.

As everyone knows, if Milwaukee isn’t able to get that done, Antetokounmpo could be packing his bags.

Turner didn’t blow people away on Tuesday with his five points and eight rebounds.

So far this season, he has averaged just 8.3 points and 6.8 rebounds, compared to last year’s output of 15.6 points and 6.5 rebounds with the Pacers.

But people still have a lot of faith in Turner and what he will do for this team at such a pivotal time.
