Derrick Henry signed a historic deal this offseason

The Baltimore Ravens inked 31-year-old running back Derrick Henry to a two-year, $30 million extension this offseason, the largest deal given to any back over the age of 30 in NFL history.

Baltimore has struggled to start the 2025 season in part due to injuries to starting quarterback Lamar Jackson and to an array of defenders. Henry, to his credit, has done his part. The 31-year-old has rushed for 510 yards and five scores, though he has lost a trio of costly fumbles.

Why else did Baltimore give Henry an extension? In addition to his 2024 dominance, the former Alabama man has one of the most glistening resumes of any running back in NFL history.

Henry is a four-time All-Pro and captured the 2020 Offensive Player of the Yeaaward r with a historic campaign. The former Tennessee Titans player has led the league in rushing yards twice and rushing touchdowns three times.

"Flockkkkkk, God is good !!" Henry posted on X after the deal was signed.. "Ravens I’m appreciative & grateful for everyone apart of this great organization & a BIG S/O to all my teammates to be able to make this possible.".
