This might be the first week in which nothing has changed in our rankings. Considering that three of the four teams were on bye this past week, it shouldn’t come as a surprise. Let’s take a look at our NFC West Power Rankings following an exciting Week 8 of action.
#4 – Arizona Cardinals
Kyler Murra

Will Kyler Murray return this week, and what version of the quarterback will we get? In facing the Cowboys, the opportunity for offense is there, but will Arizona take advantage of it? Will we ever see Marvin Harrison be a consistent game breaker?

After their plethora of defensive injuries, the 49ers need to figure something out. Allowing over 300 passing yards last week wasn’t ideal. Establishing the run game, led by Christian McCaffrey, would also be helpful. Perhaps the offense changes after Brock Purdy returns under center. The 49ers did get George Kittle and Jauan Jennings back, but they’re still waiting on Ricky Pearsall and Brandon Aiyuk.
#2 – Seattle Seahawks
Sam Darnold

Will the Seahawks get any meaningful production from a receiver other than Jaxon Smith-Njigba? Maybe the more important question is, what will happen if opposing defenses are truly able to shut him down? The two-headed approach to the running game does seem to be working, but with Zach Charbonnet overtaking Kenneth Walker? Again, the most important question might be whether or not the Seahawks are able to take advantage of their home-field advantage.
#1 – Los Angeles Rams

The Rams took care of business in England before their bye, and now they likely get Puka Nacua back on the field. Matthew Stafford continues to dominate, the defense is going strong, and Davante Adams is finding his groove. Facing the New Orleans Saints at home is a soft landing spot after their bye week.
