The Colts are not relying on explosive plays or fortunate turnovers to win games.
They are methodically breaking down defenses through sustained execution and balanced schemes.
Quarterback Daniel Jones has elevated his play to a career-best level, while running back Jonathan Taylor has returned to his dominant form from previous seasons.
The offensive line has imposed its will in both the run and pass game under head coach Shane Steichen, whose playcalling has created a system that can adapt to any situation.
When needed, they can shift to a faster pace without sacrificing efficiency.
Through eight weeks, the Colts rank first in scoring with 270 points.
They also lead the NFL in total EPA, EPA per play, and overall success rate.
Indianapolis has not sustained this type of offensive dominance since Peyton Manning was their quarterback two decades ago.
The current group is establishing its own identity while chasing championship aspirations.
