The Milwaukee Bucks are off to a strong start to their campaign in the 2025-26 NBA season. They are 3-1 through four games, thanks in large part to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s nightly greatness on the court.
Milwaukee is also thriving amid a new-look frontcourt, with Myles Turner playing in his first season with Milwaukee. Turner, however, is having a slow start to his Bucks stint, leaving some fans missing a particular former Milwaukee big man in Brooke Lopez.
The 37-year-old Lopez parted ways with Milwaukee in the offseason, opting to go to the Western Conference and sign with the Los Angeles Clippers for a two-year, $18 million contract.
Fans want Bucks to give Lopez classy gesture

Recently, a social media post by a fan about Lopezwent viral.
“Should Brook Lopez get a tribute video when he returns to Milwaukee?”asked by an apparent Milwaukee basketball fan on X.
That post garnered a ton of reactions and comments from Milwaukee fans, many beliving that Lopez certainly deserves a video tribute once the Clippers plays at Fiserv Foum.
“Of course. And it should definitely include him fighting with GTJ’s headband 😂,” said a fan on X.
Another one said: “He definitely should. Even though he was terrible like the last three years, he was still very important for that finals run. He’s one of the players we couldn’t have won without him.”
From a commenter: “Of course. He’s one of the starting five on the championship team.”
“Yeah, no brainer imo. He’s one of at least three bucks from that team that should get their jersey retired too. Id argue four but people aren’t ready for the bp conversations.,” a social media user posted.
Via a different commenter: “No doubt in my mind yes. He is one of the most important pieces of that championship run.”
Said another: “Yes… any key piece to title deserves it. Pj should if he didn’t, kash, jrue, pat should.”
Milwaukee has lots of time to try and put together a video tribute for Lopez, as the Clippers will not play in Cream City until March 29, 2026.
Many other players have gotten video tributes from their former teams despite much lesser accomplishments with them than what Lopez had in his tenure with Milwaukee. For one, Lopez won an NBA title with the team. And in his seven seasons with them, he averaged 13.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.1 blocks through 469 games.
In the 2o21 NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns, Lopez played a significant role alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo in the Bucks frontcourt. In six games in that series, Lopez averaged 11.5 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 48.3 percent from the field.
Although his story in Milwaukee appears to have already ended, the door is perhaps not completely shut on a possible reunion with Milwaukee before he calls it a career.
