Lisandro Martinez is back training with his Manchester United teammates as he continues his rehabilitation from an ACL injury picked up at the start of the year.
Martinez picked up the injury against Crystal Palace back in February. Martinez's knee buckled against the Eagles and it was confirmed that he had suffered an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament.
The defender was pictured taking part in fitness drills earlier this month, but United were keen to stress they would not take any chances with his return. It was hoped he could be available before the November international break - United play Nottingham Forest this weekend before a trip to Tottenham next week - and he has now returned to team training.
The weekend trip to Forest will come too soon for him to return but there is a chance he could be involved in the matchday squad for United's clash with Spurs the following weekend.
Speaking about Martinez's injury recently, United boss Ruben Amorim said: "Licha is on the final straight. He is a soldier who works so hard. He is always in the gym working hard.
"He works hard both on and off the pitch. He is a machine that works so hard. He is one those players who love to work hard. It is a pleasure to have him here. He works so much.
"We arrived at 9am, it's now 4pm and he continues working. He has the experience to know when to work hard. I am so glad - not just me, everyone - because he is an essential player at the club."
Luke Shaw has been playing as United's left-sided centre-back and has shown good form in the role, helping United pick up three wins on the bounce.
