Lisandro Martinez is back in full training but won't be available for Manchester United this weekend.

Martinez joined in with the main group this week and has entered the final stage of his recovery from a knee injury. Martinez's knee buckled when he fell to the ground against Crystal Palace at the beginning of February, and it was confirmed he had suffered an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament.

The Manchester Evening News reported earlier this month that Tottenham (on November 8) was seen as a realistic return date for the defender to target after returning to training.

Amorim explained: "He wants to go to this one [Forest], he isn't going to this one. He's going to need time. He has started training with us, but we had to change some things in his exercises, so slowly he is going to get better.

"It's really good. He gives use that edge in every training session, that is also really good for us. The rest of the guys we have one day. I don't know about Harry Maguire, the rest are fit."

Luke Shaw has started every Premier League game this season on the left side of the back-three, and Martinez is expected to compete with Shaw for a starting role when he returns.

Maguire picked up a knock in training after the victory against Liverpool at Anfield. He was subsequently absent against Brighton and is an injury doubt again to face Nottingham Forest.

Amorim is approaching the one-year anniversary of his appointment from Sporting Lisbon. "It was a journey, it was a big journey," he said. "It was tough, it was really tough. I learned a lot.

"Today, the answer is different from three weeks ago, so it's important to understand that. It was the biggest honour of my life to be here."

United have moved up to sixth in the Premier League after three successive wins.
