Quick facts:
Daniel Jones has earned $114 million so far in his eight-year career in the NFL.
A successful season with the Indianapolis Colts could land him a lucrative, multi-year contract.
Daniel Jones' NFL career with the New York Giants wasn't looking promising, but the quarterback has gotten a second chance with a new team. As QB1 for the Indianapolis Colts in 2025, he led the team to its best starting season since 2009, when it went 14-2 and won the Super Bowl.
Not many football players get second opportunities to excel in today's NFL climate. After getting drafted by the New York Giants in 2019 and immediately starting, he was deemed the star quarterback for the team that had won two Super Bowls in two decades. But a few seasons of losing records tarnished fans' confidence in his leadership despite a team-record contract.
His sudden move in the 2024 season to the Minnesota Vikings, followed by an off-season trade to the Colts, left many fans and football pundits scratching their heads. But Jones fits into the Colts' program, and he's now leading the NFL with the best record this season.
As a first-round draft pick who was thought to have gone bust, Jones has an opportunity to score a big payday with the Colts.
Here's how much he's worth in 2025 and how he made his money.
What is Daniel Jones' net worth in 2025?

Who is Daniel Jones? His early life and NFL career explained
Daniel Jones was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 27, 1997. He is the eldest of four children, and his brother and sisters were also collegiate athletes.
Jones attended Charlotte Latin School in his hometown, where he played for three years and held school career records for total offensive yards (8,344), passing yards (6,997), and total touchdowns (98).
Jones enrolled at Duke University in the fall of 2015 but did not play until the following year. He lettered from 2016 to 2018 and held numerous accolades, serving as team captain during his last two years of college play. His school records included more than 300 yards of total offense in each of 13 games, including a single game with 547 yards against the University of North Carolina in 2018, and pass attempts per game (35.42).
Jones skipped his final year of collegiate football eligibility for the 2019 NFL Draft. As the sixth overall pick, he was selected by the New York Giants, who had a 3–13 record in 2018. Another top quarterback in that year's draft was Kyler Murray, who was the overall number-one pick, going to the Arizona Cardinals.
More on sports:
The Giants needed a franchise quarterback to replace Eli Manning, who led the Giants to two Super Bowls in 2008 and 2012 and was at the end of his playing career. Jones played for 12 games in the 2019 season, during which the Giants had a 4–12 record. This was followed by two more years of losing records (10–23) until the 2022 season, when they had a 9–7–1 record and reached the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Still, despite that winning season, the Giants receded with losses in 2023, and midway through the 2024 season, Jones asked to be released and subsequently joined the Vikings.
In the offseason in 2025, the Colts picked up Jones, who was a free agent. In the 2025–26 season, Jones has led the Colts to a 7–1 record through the end of October. His average passing of 257.75 yards per game this season and 71.2% completion rate are the highest so far in his career. He is on pace to achieve his personal best in terms of passing yards and touchdowns for an NFL season.
How does Daniel Jones spend his money?
Jones has spent some of his earnings and time on philanthropic endeavors, including Mission 34, a nonprofit that promotes youth mental health awareness, and Child Center of NY, which helps children and families with programs such as early childhood education and behavioral health.
No public information is available as to whether Jones owned a home in the New York City area, but he formerly resided in Hoboken, New Jersey, near the stadium where he played for the Giants. Since he's in his first year with the Colts, he's likely to be renting a place in or around Indianapolis.
