All eyes are now on Brendan Rodgers.
It was an abrupt ending for Rodgers at Celtic on Monday evening, and he has taken some serious verbal hits during that time, mainly from Dermot Desmond.
But now the Celtic fans are eager to hear from their legendary coach, as well as where his next job could land him, because there has been talk of a return to the Premier League.
As of this moment, no vacancy is open in England’s top-flight, but that doesn’t mean managers aren’t under pressure, although Danny Murphy is pretty confident as to where Rodgers won’t end up next.

Would Brendan Rodgers become Wolves manager after leaving Celtic?
Wolves are winless in the Premier League, sitting bottom of the table, and on Wednesday night, they were knocked out of the League Cup by Chelsea.
Despite Vitor Pereira coming under fire, Murphy told talkSPORT that if he is sacked, don’t expect Rodgers to rock up at Molineux.
Murphy explained that there are ‘loads of reasons’ as to why Rodgers resigned from his Celtic post, and the ‘single-minded’ coach is on a ‘hiding to nothing’ if he decides to take the Wolves gig.

Murphy: “I don’t know this from Brendan’s perspective. It does feel that he is probably a little bit frustrated at the lack of funding he has had to strengthen the Celtic squad. He feels as if he has taken them as far as he can.”
Hugh Woozencroft: “It can’t be long for Vitor Pereira. He might get sacked soon – I immediately said, ‘That’s a job for Brendan Rodgers.’
Darren Lewis: “But if Brendan Rodgers goes there, and he has the same lack of quality that Vitor Pereira has.”
Woozencroft: “I think he would want a Premier League job.”
Murphy: “I don’t think he goes there.”
Woozencroft: “Why would you leave Celtic unless you are going to get a Premier League job?”
Murphy: “There could be loads of reasons. Brendan is quite single-minded. Yes, I am not suggesting that another opportunity hasn’t come up that he wants. I don’t think Wolves would be that. He is on a hiding to nothing there.”
Woozencroft: “Do you think he would go to the Championship?”
Murphy and Lewis: “No. Why would you?”
Murphy: “Just thinking at the top of my head here is that, when handing in your resignation, Celtic don’t have to accept it.
“If they hadn’t got word from him or some sort of contractual obligation that he isn’t walking into another club, because they would be deserving of compensation.”
