Celtics 6-foot-7 sharpshooting forward sets impressive league-wide record

The Boston Celtics started the season off 0-3, something that hadn’t happened since 2014.

After Wednesday night’s victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, Jaylen Brown and the team have improved to 2-3.

Brown has done his part in almost every game so far, but much of their win against the Cavaliers can be credited to an unsung hero.

That would be 6-foot-7 sniper Sam Hauser, who set a league record this season for most three pointers made in one quarter with five.

What makes it more impressive is the fact that he did it in the first quarter, and he isn’t part of the starting lineup.

He checked in off the bench and immediately went to work, hitting three of the five in a minute.

Hauser isn’t new to this; as a matter of fact, he has made over five threes in a quarter two other times in his career.

He is the type of guy who makes the Celtics so great because he executes his role to perfection.

He ended the game with 21 points in 21 minutes and was 7-of-13 from three.

Boston’s bench and Hauser outscored the Cavaliers' bench by a landslide, 45 to 18.

This is one of the main reasons that the underdog Celtics beat the Cavaliers by 20 points.

Also making an impact was the Celtics' lengthy forward, Josh Minott.

In his second-ever start, he played incredible defense on Evan Mobley, scored 11 points, and hauled in 14 rebounds.

Hauser and Minott will continue to battle for the Celtics as they are shorthanded at the wing position, hoping to earn themselves more minutes.
