Newcastle United’s relentless run of fixtures continues this weekend as they travel to the capital to face West Ham United.
The Magpies are competing on three fronts, having progressed to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup at the expense of Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
Now they are back in Premier League action, as Newcastle United aim to make it six wins out of their last seven games.
A desperate West Ham side stand in their way, with the Hammers sitting 19th in the Premier League under Nuno Espirito Santo. There has been no ‘new manager bounce’ since he replaced Graham Potter, with the Hammers faithful facing up to the threat of relegation.
It is the perfect opportunity for Eddie Howe’s side to pick up their first Premier League away win of the season, but they will have to battle through the fatigue to secure all three points.

Paul Merson in no doubt that Newcastle United will beat West Ham
Paul Merson expects them to do exactly that, having backed a Newcastle United win over West Ham as part of his Premier League predictions for Sportskeeda.
“West Ham are a team that are the worst in the league when it comes to playing at home and this weekend, they face Newcastle, who have won just one game away from home all season,” he said.
“I don’t think West Ham have won at home since 27th February and that was against a struggling Leicester City, who got relegated in the end.

“The way West Ham have been losing games, it’s alarming. Brentford absolutely destroyed them in their last home game.
“Newcastle have to deal with a lot of games and a hectic schedule but I can’t see anything but a win for them here.”
Merson’s prediction: West Ham United 1 Newcastle United 3.
Newcastle United’s recent record away to West Ham
Since Eddie Howe became Newcastle United manager, the Magpies have never lost to West Ham at the London Stadium.
Across the four games that Howe has managed Newcastle away to West Ham, he has won twice and drawn twice.
One of those victories came last season, with Bruno Guimaraes scoring the winner just days before Newcastle United won the Carabao Cup.

Merson expects Newcastle to extend their impressive record at the London Stadium, but they will have to do it without Yoane Wissa.
The 29-year-old is still injured, with Wissa’s Newcastle debut not set to come on Sunday.
Nick Woltemade will lead the line instead, and he will be full of confidence after netting his sixth goal of the season in the Carabao Cup win over Spurs.
