The Jazz are rolling out a new twist to a now-classic uniform look.
Utah released its latest city edition uniforms Thursday, featuring a gradient design similar to that of the team’s first city edition threads from 2017-18.

The new jerseys are a midnight black to gray gradient, with sky blue trim and “Utah” across the chest in the same font as the original city edition jerseys.
The original look from 2017-20 was a gradient of orange, red and yellow to pay homage to the red rock terrain of southern Utah.

For the 2020-21 campaign, the Jazz introduced a “dark mode” version of the uniform, keeping the orange, red and yellow but fading into black with yellow numbers.

The current city edition keeps the same design template as the previous iterations but updated with a snowy mountain theme.
“Over the next two seasons, we’re bringing back a fan-favorite design with a fresh, modern twist,” said Chris Barney, president of revenue and commercial strategy at Smith Entertainment Group in a press release.
“This City Edition jersey celebrates Utah’s signature mountain landscapes and the spirit of Mountain Basketball, blending the team’s history with a bold new look. It’s a unique way for fans to show their pride and connect with the team and our state.”
The Jazz will wear the new city edition uniforms five times in the regular season, beginning on Nov. 11 against the Indiana Pacers.
The new city edition uniforms will go on sale online and in the official team store on Nov. 11.
