This comes amid confirmation that the Dutchman is facing up to an extended incoming spell on the sidelines.
As per a report from journalist Lewis Steele of the Daily Mail, Frimpong is expected to miss the next six weeks of the season.
Amid what has been a difficult start to life in England for the former Bayer Leverkusen man, he has picked up a serious hamstring injury.
