The league announced on Wednesday that Micah Parsons, one of its most feared defensive presences, has once again captured the spotlight — earning the NFC Defensive Player of the Week honor after dominant performances that left opposing offenses in shambles.

Micah Parsons, the star defensive end for the Green Bay Packers, was selected as the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for October 2025.
As Matt LaFleur’s Packers went 3-0 during the month, Parsons recorded 18 pressures, 4.0 sacks, five tackles for loss, and six quarterback hits. After recording a career-high 3.0 sacks against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7, Parsons had another sack on “Sunday Night Football” against Aaron Rodgers.
“He’s been outstanding,” coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday.
Next Gen Stats shows Parsons leading the NFL in 2025 with 44 total pressures, which includes 11 against the Cardinals.
He previously won NFC Defensive Player of the Month in September 2023.
Parsons is the first Packers defensive player to win the award since Xavier McKinney in October of last year and the first Packers pass-rusher to win the award since Clay Matthews in September of 2010.
A Standard, Not a Surprise
For Parsons, these honors are becoming a routine occurrence. The two-time All-Pro continues to cement his place among the elite, pacing the NFC in sacks and pressures. Still, this latest recognition feels different — not because it was expected, but because he did it with his new team.
Bottom Line:
The NFC Defensive Player of the Week has been named, and it’s the same name haunting offensive linemen in their sleep. Micah Parsons isn’t chasing greatness anymore — he’s redefining what it looks like.
