3 Green Bay Packers Legends Make List of Most Dominant Corners Of The Century

While the 2025 Green Bay Packers are currently still figuring things out in the secondary, some of the franchise’s most historic players of recent memory have come up on a list of the most dominant corners of the 21st century.

Recently, PFF data was compiled to rank the best cornerbacks by QB passer rating allowed over their five best seasons. The list saw some of the best in the game at the top of the rankings: namely Richard Sherman, one of the faces of the Legion of Boom. Darrelle Revis and Asante Samuel rounded out the top 3 before a Green Bay legend made an appearance on the list.

Woodson was 4th on the list with a 51.6 QB rating allowed during a stretch of his career that spanned from 2006-2010. During the 78-game stretch, he allowed completions on just 45.4% of passes thrown his way and intercepted an incredible 8.3% of such targets. His dominance on the outside helped the Packers win the Super Bowl.

At 19th on the list is Woodson’s compatriot from the Super Bowl-winning squad. Tramon Williams spent around a decade of his life wearing the green and gold, beginning in 2006 and ending with a short return to Wisconsin in 2020. Williams and Woodson made the Pro Bowl together in 2010 and had a lot of success locking down receivers together.

After Woodson left in 2013, Williams really came into his own and spent multiple seasons as one of the league’s best corners. In 79 games, Williams allowed a 64.6 QB rating and only allowed touchdowns on 2.2% of his targets.

Lastly, this Packers corner’s best seasons unfortunately came in California with the Chargers. Casey Hayward was the 62nd overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and played out his rookie deal in Green Bay as a solid cornerback, beginning his career with All-Rookie honors. After the Pack let him walk in free agency, Hayward joined the San Diego Chargers and quickly made Green Bay regret their decision to let him go.

Hayward was Pro-Bowler in 2016 and 2017, also making 2nd-Team All-Pro for those seasons. He also led the NFL in 2016. His last year in Green Bay was counted as part of his peak, during which Hayward surrendered a QB rating of just 65.2 and a 52.1% completion percentage, putting him at 20th on the list.
