Romeo Doubs Shows Off New Packers Guardian Cap

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs has made news multiple times in his career.

From acrobatic catches to a brief feud with head coach Matt LaFleur, he’s no stranger to headlines.

Recently, however, he’s gone viral for other reasons.

Some fans have mocked him for his guardian cap, and with the Packers set to wear throwback uniforms with replica leather helmets in Week 9, everybody wanted to see what that would look like.

So, the team has shared a picture of Doubs’ fake leather guardian cap.

All jokes aside, it’s wise for Doubs to take care of his health after suffering two concussions last season.

Guardian caps may look foolish, but football is just a small part of a player’s life.

There’s much more time after their playing days are over, and they’re always just one snap away from a potential career-ending injury.

If the NFL provides resources to help players stay safe and improve their quality of life, they should take advantage of them, even if it looks funny.

The large helmet protector certainly hasn’t taken a toll on Doubs’ production.

In seven games, he has 27 receptions on 42 targets for 350 yards and four touchdowns.

Even better, he does not have a dropped pass, which was an issue for him in the past.

He’s eligible to sign a contract extension, and Packers fans likely want to see his big helmet addition for years to come.
