The Indianapolis Colts have released their second injury report of the week ahead of their Week 9 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although six players who were held out yesterday practiced fully today, DL Grover Stewart and DE Samson Ebukam remained out today. So did WR Anthony Gould. The status of those three will be worth watching tomorrow to see if they can hit the practice field before Sunday’s matchup in Pittsburgh.
The Colts’ official Twitter account posted the injury report.

Ebukam last played in Indianapolis’ Week 7 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He has two sacks this season and is a rotational piece on the edge. Stewart would be the bigger loss if he’s unable to suit up. He has started every game this season and is a key interior defensive lineman, along with DeForest Buckner. This year, Stewart has 27 tackles, four tackles for a loss, an interception, and three pass deflections.
Gould has just one catch for three yards this season. He’s also the Colts’ primary returner, as he’s returned seven punts and 19 kicks this season. He’s averaging 26.6 yards per kick return, and if he can’t go on Sunday, it would be a blow to Indianapolis’ special teams.
The good news for the Colts was getting the likes of S Nick Cross and CB Kenny Moore back at practice, as well as WR Josh Downs. Downs had a big game in the Colts’ Week 4 win over the Steelers last season, catching eight passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. With the Steelers’ issues in the secondary and covering receivers in space, he could be poised for a breakout game if the Colts look to get him involved.
WR Michael Pittman and TE Tyler Warren rightfully get the majority of the focus in Indianapolis’ passing game. Downs has still been a solid weapon for them, and he’ll likely play on Sunday.
Ebukam’s and especially Stewart’s absences could be big losses, and they’ll likely have to get on the practice field tomorrow to suit up on Sunday.
