Dolphins activate cornerback reinforcements off IR ahead of Ravens matchup

The Miami Dolphins were already thin at cornerback, and recent injuries have depleted them even further.

Cornerback Storm Duck suffered a season-ending knee injury in last week's win over the Atlanta Falcons, leaving Miami desperate for bodies at the position.

Ahead of tonight's matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, the Dolphins activated some help from injured reserve and the practice squad.

Dolphins activate CBs Jason Marshall Jr. and Isaiah Johnson

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Dolphins have activated cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. off injured reserve and brought up Isaiah Johnson from the practice squad amid a flurry of other moves by both Miami and Baltimore.

"For TNF: -- The #Ravens activated DT Taven Bryan and S Keondre Jackson from the practice squad for tonight's game. -- The #Dolphins activated CB Jason Marshall Jr. off IR and elevated CB Isaiah Johnson and TE Hayden Rucci to the 53-man roster for tonight," wrote Rapoport on X.

With Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson making his return from an extended absence, the Dolphins are going to need all hands on deck defensively to slow down the two-time league MVP.

Miami has been dealing with cornerback injuries dating back to the summer, with both Artie Burns and Kader Kohou suffering torn ACLs throughout training camp.

They may look to acquire a defensive back ahead of next Tuesday's trade deadline.
