Coming off their Week 8 bye, the Seattle Seahawks remain firmly in the playoff race. At 5-2, Seattle holds the tiebreaker over the Los Angeles Rams for the top spot in the NFC West as they prepare to face the Washington Commanders this week.
Although Seattle isn't a team labeled as 'buyers' at the Nov. 4 NFL trade deadline, there have still been plenty of players within the roster who have been floated around in rumors.
One of those players happens to be cornerback Riq Woolen, who is currently playing under a contract that will expire at the end of the 2025 season.
Mike Garafolo: Riq Woolen is most likely to remain with the Seahawks for 2025 season
In a report updating several players' trade statuses, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo said that Seahawks cornerback Riq Woolen is "more likely than not" to remain in Seattle for the remainder of the 2025 season.

Woolen, 26, has missed one game this season after suffering a concussion in Week 5 against the Houston Texans. In the six appearances he's made for the Seahawks this season, he has 19 total tackles, but has yet to force any turnovers.
The former fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft has regressed since his rookie season, when he finished with 63 total tackles, two fumble recoveries, and six interceptions.
If those rumors hold true with less than a week remaining before the NFL trade deadline, Woolen will stay in the Seahawks' secondary alongside Devon Witherspoon, Coby Bryant, and Julian Love.
