The health of the Seattle Seahawks’ wide receiver room suddenly could be a question mark ahead of Sunday night’s Week 9 road matchup against the Washington Commanders.

Veteran wide receiver Cooper Kupp (heel, hamstring) was downgraded to limited on the team’s practice report Thursday after being listed as a full participant Wednesday. Kupp was listed with a heel injury on Wednesday, then with both a heel injury and a hamstring injury on Thursday.
Also, wide receiver Jake Bobo (Achilles) was a new addition to the practice report as a limited participant on Thursday.
In addition, wide receiver Dareke Young (quad) sat out practice for a second straight day. Head coach Mike Macdonald said Wednesday that Young was under consideration to be placed on injured reserve, which would require him to miss at least four games.
That leaves NFL receiving leader Jaxon Smith-Njigba and rookie Tory Horton as the only two wideouts on Seattle’s 53-man roster who aren’t on the injury report. The Seahawks also have four receivers on their practice squad: Cody White, rookie Ricky White III, rookie Tyrone Broden and rookie Courtney Jackson.
Aside from Kupp and Bobo, the only other changes to Seattle’s practice report Thursday involved veteran defensive ends Leonard Williams (non-injury-related/rest) and DeMarcus Lawrence (non-injury-related/rest), who were both elevated from limited to full participants.
Two-time All-Pro cornerback Devon Witherspoon (knee) was a full participant for the second straight day, which keeps him on track to potentially return to the lineup Sunday night. Witherspoon has missed five of Seattle’s seven games, including each of the past three.
Meanwhile, veteran safety Julian Love (hamstring) sat out practice for a second straight day after experiencing a “setback” in his recovery last week, according to Macdonald. Macdonald said Wednesday that Love’s status for Sunday night was “in jeopardy” and that the team was considering placing him on IR. Love has missed four games this season, including each of the past three.
