**West Ham need the youth to step up, and George Earthy could be the catalyst.**
Following a successful year in the Championship, George Earthy has been extremely unlucky since returning to East London. Preseason saw him suffer from an injury, and he had another one not too long after returning.
While it’s so important that they don’t have pressure or abuse this early in their career, there certainly could be a lot of problems solved if a couple of the Hammers’ exciting youth prospects could make the step up.
Given that Earthy is already loved amongst fans and is a boyhood supporter, he could bring the passion and fight that West Ham are so desperate to see,
Nuno clearly isn’t afraid to use the youth, so it wouldn’t be surprising if George did get a chance to shine in the coming weeks. He’s always looked good when coming on, especially with that goal against Luton. If he can keep his fitness and use his experience from the second tier then he could end up being a key player.
