A Steelers Depot daily segment. A quick hit of some Pittsburgh Steelers-related stories that may not require a complete article but nuggets worth mentioning and passing on to you guys.

Your Depot After Dark for Oct. 30.

SUPER BOWL 40 TEAM HONORED

The Steelers won four Super Bowls in the 1970s. However, they went on a long drought without a championship after that. Thankfully, the Steelers won Super Bowl 40 at the conclusion of the 2005. This season is the 20-year anniversary of that victory, and the Steelers are making sure to celebrate that team.

The organization announced that it will be honoring the 2005 team this weekend. The team will have dinner together and then have a special ceremony dedicated to them at Acrisure Stadium. While the Steelers are currently in the midst of a slight skid, perhaps getting to see a group of champions will help inspire them.

ACRISURE HAUNTED

Acrisure Stadium, then known as Heinz Field, became the Steelers’ home in 2001. Since then, they’ve had plenty of iconic moments there. While Pittsburgh’s home stadium has received some criticism recently, for the most part, it’s served them well. However, some people might not know about the history surrounding Acrisure Stadium.

CBS Pittsburgh recently posted a video doing some research on how haunted Acrisure Stadium is. Halloween is almost here, and the Steelers could be in for a trick. Perhaps that’s the reason why they’ve also suffered some heartbreaking moments in Pittsburgh.

PATRIOTS SEND CONDITIONAL PICK TO STEELERS

The Steelers’ defense hasn’t been good enough this season. While the team hoped it would be one of the best units in the league, instead, it’s been one of the worst. As a result, the Steelers are looking to try and make some changes. Recently, they traded for New England Patriots safety Kyle Dugger, and now, the specifics of that deal have been revealed.

Originally, it was announced that the Steelers sent a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Patriots for Dugger and a 2026 seventh-round pick. However, according to the NFL transaction sheet, the Patriots actually sent the New Orleans Saints’ conditional seventh-round pick that they had to the Steelers. The Patriots received that pick in the first place, in exchange for defensive lineman Davon Godchaux. Now, it belongs to the Steelers.

The 7th rounder the Steelers got is tabbed as the one the Patriots got from Saints. It is listed as conditional. The Patriots other trade this week with 49ers included a 7th rounder, also listed as conditional, and that appears to have been their original one in round. #Steelers… https://t.co/C4yBJWcMJY
