October 31 – Premier League club, Everton FC, has appointed U.S.-based agency Range Sports to find front-of-kit and training-kit sponsors, starting with the 2026-27 season when the ban on gambling forms holding the main shirt sponsorship position is banned.
The club’s current front-of-kit deal with online casino Stake is worth $13.2 million annually and will expire before the new league policy takes effect.
Everton is not alone in having to remove gambling ads, as 11 other top-flight teams will also have to replace betting brands with new partners, forcing a wave of competition for fresh, non-gaming sponsors.
Range Sport will bring global networks, commercial experience, and the ability to navigate the complex, data-driven world of sponsorship sales. Led by co-President Greg Luckman and Head of Partnership Sales Flint Reilly, Range won the account after a competitive pitch in Liverpool. Reilly, formerly of Fenway Sports Group, previously helped sell commercial assets for Everton’s cross-town rival, Liverpool.
The club’s commercial appeal is rising with its new riverfront home, Hill Dickinson Stadium, and ownership under The Friedkin Group has positioned Everton to secure stronger, longer-term deals.
With shirt sponsorships from betting companies to be banned from the start of the 2026-27 season, clubs are looking to start aligning with broader, more sustainable global brands.
