Sources have told Leeds United News how the club feels about Dominic Calvert-Lewin as he continues his wait for another Premier League goal.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin joined Leeds on a free transfer after leaving Everton in the summer, bringing a wealth of Premier League experience with him.
Despite opening his account in Leeds’ win over Wolves, Calvert-Lewin has struggled in front of goal this season, having missed a string of big chances.
However, Calvert-Lewin remains a key part of the side under Daniel Farke, earning praise for his work ethic, as he leads the line for the Whites.
Now, Leeds United News Chief Correspondent Graeme Bailey revealed how the club feels about Calvert-Lewin’s lack of goals, as Leeds look to end their 16-year winless run at Brighton.

How Leeds United feel about Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Speaking exclusively to Leeds United News, Bailey explained why Calvert-Lewin’s lack of end product in front of goal is not currently a concern for the Leeds hierarchy.
According to Bailey, although Leeds would like more goals from Calvert-Lewin, the work that he does to pull defences out of shape means Farke is content with his game for the time being. Bailey said, “He’s bringing an element to the team that you didn’t have before. He’s holding up at this level.
“Obviously, they would like him to have more [goals], of course, they would. I’d liken him to a poor man’s Gyokeres, where he’s trying to pull the defence around. He’s letting the other players play; that’s no disrespect to him, either. He was up there at that level at one point.

“I haven’t heard any rumblings about them being unhappy. I think he’s given them what they want. Yes, they would like more goals and a bit more, but that’s just how the team is set up.”

Goals are the only thing missing from Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s game
Although Calvert-Lewin has frustrated in front of goal at times, he has shown enough in his all-round game to avoid the ire of the Elland Road crowd at this stage.
This is highlighted by his stats from the season to date, which demonstrate his impressive impact on Leeds’ attack.
According to FotMob, Calvert-Lewin has created seven chances, had seven shots on target, won 24 aerial duels and won possession in the final third four times.
However, having missed five big chances, he remains stuck on one goal for the season. With chances at a premium in the top flight, this needs to improve before Farke and the fans’ patience begins to wear thin.
